Hyped by big bro for a couple of years, she has now started her own music career. These Words, the follow-up to her first single, Single, is out this week and her debut album follows in September. She goes on tour in November.

Daniel loves us. Did he tell you to do the 60 Secs? He does, doesn't he? I love the 60 Second Interview, too. All praise to 60 Secs. How much has him pushing you helped? Well, he really bigged me up to a lot of people but I think they started to get sick of it. They were saying: 'Stop talking about your sister and tell us about you.' You know Eminem and D-12 and Missy Elliott and her crew? We're like that in that we support each other. I'm the little sister who is determined to make it on her own. Is there any competition to get a No. 1? People wonder if we can remain best friends, given we're on separate labels. We're both behind each other. Do you try your tracks out on him? I do. Before the album was finished, I took it to him. We're always on the phone to each other. When he wrote Gotta Get Through This, he called me and he was on his roller skates at the time, going: 'Dn, da, dn dn. Gotta get through this... What do you think?' I was just going: 'Yeah, sure, it's alright.' He's hyper. On the new single, you mention Attention Deficit Disorder. Do you suffer? I don't have ADD, I was just talking about what you feel like sometimes when you can't stop pacing the room. You know when you can't express something? Well, that's what the song's about. How different is life now? I've been doing this for quite a while and I've grown into it. I was doing a degree in psychology to try and get deeper things to write about. I just ended up quitting, becoming a temp and throwing everything into music as I knew uni was the safe option for me. Now I've released things, it just makes it harder to see my friends more than anything else. I've buried my head in my passion. Where's the weirdest place you've heard any of your songs? A friend called me and told me that I'm doing very well in the Ukraine. The other day, I was doing a photo shoot and, when I left the studio, someone was driving by in a huge convertible with my song blasting out of the speakers. Another was when I walked into a record shop and it came on. I was thinking someone may have put it on deliberately and tried to hide. You're part Kiwi - have you bungied? Yes, I've done all that kind of stuff. I had to jump off this huge cliff once into some water. To do it, you had to jump out so as not to crash on to the rocks. I didn't want to but, as I stood there, I remembered one of my lyrics that says, if you're going to jump, then jump far. So I had to do it or I'd have been a hypocrite. Are you still Single? I am - I'm just like a bloke who is not ready to settle down. I enjoy being a bachelorette. I'm not anti-men, I love them. I just think you need to be comfortable with yourself before you enter into a relationship. If you're not afraid of being single, it makes you less clingy. So there's still no one special? At the moment, I'm resolutely single. There are lots of special people but no special man. You must be getting some attention? I've not been scaring them away. What's the worst chat-up line? You must be tired as you've been running through my head all night. I don't know of any chat-up lines that work. But I have worked out how to get a guy's number without embarrassing myself. Go ahead. If there's a nice-looking guy, I just go up to him and say: 'I'm doing a new video and I'm holding auditions' and ask for their telephone number. Then you call them and say the auditions have been cancelled. That's super cheesy. Has that worked? I'm not going to say. You must have tried it - tell the truth. It has, you can get anyone's number.
